How it all began
The idea of television began as early as the 1820s. later around 1880 after a article was shown in the Scientific American Magazine the idea of a working television system began to spread on an international scale. David Sarnoff brilliantly marketed the invention to the public and became known as the father of television. Experimental broadcast television began in the early 1930s using and showing images of wrestling, music,and dance to a handful of screen. It wasnt until 1939 world fair in New York, where RCA uneiled their new NBC tv studios in Rockefeller Plaza, that network television was intrduced. Television showed the signs of becoming a commercial success until the United States entered WWII. The war interupted the growth of television greatly, as personal shortages forced stations to shut down.Only the Dumont network remained on the air.

How american television made a turning point in history
Well, without american television the world would not have been the same. television is great entertainment, a way to stay updated, and an informative way to learn. without televion people couldnt watch the news to stay updated, watch funny tv shows to stay entertained, or watch documents to help you learn. Thomas edison did invent cameras to be able to film and they were meant to be called motion pictures. television was supposetly thought of before thomas edison invented motion pictures but it just didnt appear until later. Television is very big reason our country is the way it is today and to some people that staement is good and some people just think television didnt make a good difference to our country. And that is how american television made a huge turning point in history.
